Why a DTS with a Music focus?

Spain and Europe themselves are very artistic. Art is an open door for us, through it we can reach people’s heart as much as God’s.

How will it work?

If you choose the Music focus, apart from the basic DTS activities, you will have specific activities that will help you develop your musical skills, such as workshops and rehearsals. And how about participating in the base’s worship times or going out to play and sing around the city?

Why a DTS with a focus on Children?

There are children in all corners of the world. Working with children is a doorway to influence not only the child, but a family, a community and even an entire country.

How will it work?

Training focused on the outreach is a main part of what a DTS is. If you choose the children focus you will have dance workshops, games, dynamics, theaters and interactive evangelism, among other activities. After the lecture phase you will be prepared to know what to do and not to do with one or more children during your time in missions.

Why a DTS with a Learning Spanish Language focus?

It’s a focus for English Speakers that want to learn or improve their Spanish skills. Spanish is the second most spoken Language by native speakers. And the fourth most spoken language in the world.

It’s a great option to learn to speak this beautiful language besides your DTS training, and would be useful in the interaction with Spaniard community and to do outreach or ministry in other countries that officially speak Spanish.

How will it work?

The main thing about a DTS is training and discipleship. To learn Spanish we will develop dynamic and practical approach, with workshops and several activities. The goal is to increase your skills of understanding and speaking Spanish, as you also enjoy every part of it.

The focuses

The main thing about a DTS is training and discipleship. The focuses are ready to help you discover and develop your gifts and abilities. Through them you can also approach and serve people during the outreach. You must choose one focus, to which you will be dedicate during the whole lecture phase.

Life in community

For us, relationships are very important! During the DTS, life in community is also a learning tool. We can know each other better and reflect Christ in everyday situations such as conversation at the dinning table, watching a movie or washing the dishes together. We want to be like a family!

We have separate rooms for male and female students, staff members and married couples.

Our base

We rent a place where we have classes, worship times, intercession and meetings – basically everything related to our community. We eat together every day and our Sunday´s service (we call it “La Quedada”) takes place at the base as well.

Dates

Opening: September 20th, 2020

Lecture phase: September 21st to December 12th, 2020 (12 weeks) *

Outreach: December 13th, 2020 to February 7th, 2021 *

Debriefing at the base (to process what you learned and final assessments): February 8th to 11th, 2021 *

Graduation: February 11th, 2021

* These are approximate dates and may change.

School routine

A day in the DTS is very intense!

During the morning we have breakfast, meditation (or quiet time with God), intercession or worship time with the whole base, Classes with a coffee break in the middle.

Lunch time is at 2pm, according to the Spanish culture. Then service time (cleaning and maintenance of the common places).

We have different activities during the evening such as workshops, rehearsals, base ministries and others.

After dinner we have spare time, usually we use it to do DTS assignments, read books or just relax.

Lessons

Some of the classes you will have are:

  • How to listen the voice of God
  • Intercession
  • The father heart of God
  • Spanish culture
  • Fear of the Lord
  • Lordship of Christ
  • Relationships and Sexuality
  • Divine Plumb-line
  • and others
Teachers

The classes are served both by invited teachers (mostly serving in a mission or ministry in Europe) and by some of our staff. Our priority is that the teacher lives the topic that he/she teaches and is not only a theoretical approach.

After the 3 months of lecture phase we go out into the world to be part of what God is doing.

It is time to practice what was learned at the base, and to have incredible experiences with Him and others, as we seek to show the Kingdom of God, whether preaching to a person at a festival, cleaning a park or sharing in a church.
