Youth With a Mission – YWAM – is an international movement of Christians from many denominations dedicated to present Jesus personally to this generation, to mobilizing as many as possible to help in the task, and to train and equip the believers so they can do their part in the fulfillment of the Great Commission. As Christians of God’s Kingdom we are called to love, worship and obey our Lord, to love and serve His Body, the Church, and to present the whole Gospel to the whole person, worldwide.
Founded in 1960, YWAM is an international interdenominational mission movement, dedicated to fulfill Christ’s command to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.
The task is divided into three areas:
YWAM’s catchword is “To know God and make him known”. Using the most varied creative ways, from traditional preaching and distributing literature to a less traditional form of evangelism, such as theater, mercy ministries and bi-vocational ministry, YWAM brings the Gospel to the lost souls of this world.
The YWAM University of the Nations has more than 70 basic training program and is present in over 120 cities worldwide.

God’s love is shown to the marginalized and the poor in practical ways, through medical teams, dentists and counselors, vocational rehabilitation, training in agriculture, nutritional services and work with refugees. YWAM has more than 10,000 people working permanently in over 900 centers, in 200 countries. Each year, more than 150,000 people participate in short-term mission projects in different parts of the world.
